Featured Artist - Wrightmade

Our featured artist for this post is Boyd of Wrightmade!  Let's get to know a little bit more about him.

My name is Boyd Wright. I live in Grand Forks, ND.

I craft, primarily on a wood-turning lathe, a wide variety of kaleidoscopes, handmade gifts for people of all ages, back scratchers, desk items, pill boxes, bar accessories, cutlery, jewelry, key rings, and more, handcrafted in exotic woods from around the world.

My favorite thing about crafting is the freedom from organizational scheduling.

Since crafting is not a hobby, but a business, my hobbies include genealogy, reading, history.

No real idea what I would do if I had a super power. Cure diseases, I suppose. Not thought about it.

Dog Days of Summer August Team Challenge

August Team Challenge

Welcome to Etsy of the Red River Valleys FIRST team challenge! This is something that I hope will foster team participation as well as being a lot of fun.

To participate:

Enter ONE item from you shop that you feel best represents the theme

Spread the news to other team members so that they can enter the challenge as well!

Promote the items in the challenge by doing things like posting items on twitter or facebook or by creating treasuries featuring the items entered!

You must enter by August 31. To do so, simply go to the Etsy of the RRV team page on Etsy and post your item in the official challenge thread!

At the beginning of September, a poll will be created and posted on the blog.
People (anyone and everyone) will have one week to vote on their favorite item!

The winner will get a button on the sidebar of the blog with a link to their shop.

We will also announce the winner on our Facebook Fan Page and our team Twitter Account!

August Theme
Our theme for August will be Dog Days of Summer. Pick one item from your shop that you feel best represents this theme. It is open to ALL team members. The theme is very subjective – it can be any one item that you feel best fits the theme!

Have Fun, and Happy Creating!
